Essence
I was trying to capture the different textures (the breaking waves, different color sand, and all of the footprints in the sand) and marry that with the end of the day sun which created the long shadow of the surfer.
Rinse Cycle
An aerial view can allow the viewer to see that scale of things that can't been seen from sea level. This was a shot of a lifeguard practicing paddle-outs through the rough surf.
